Hiroki Mizuoka

Graduated from the Department of Information Engineering, Toyama National College of Maritime Technology (currently National Institute of Technology, Toyama College). While in school, I participated in the Technical College Robot Contest. I joined an automatic machine manufacturer related to electrical components in Toyama, my hometown. I was in charge of mechanical design and electrical design. I joined DeepX in 2019.

Today, more and more companies are switching from humans to machines as a measure against labour shortage and for increasing labour efficiency. One of the reasons why I chose the automatic machine manufacturer for the first company I would work for is that I thought about the future prospects. However, only after entering the world, I realised that there were still many situations in which we had to rely on craftsmanship, considering the accuracy, speed and cost. With the development of the artificial intelligence field, some craftsmanship can be substituted by machines. I became interested in the potential of artificial intelligence while I could see the limit of human capability. That is the reason why I changed jobs as I was attracted to DeepX, which has a mission to automate any machinery by expanding the ability of artificial intelligence.

When I was a student, I majored in IT and after graduation, I was involved in machinery and electronics. I am committed to challenging any issue by leveraging my wide variety of experiences.

  • I often go to art museums and museums on my days off.
When it comes to art, I like artwork from the 20th century to modern.

  • I play analog games mainly TRPG.
As I can play online, it has become more convenient.
