Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer
After having graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo, he went on to graduate from the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo, receiving the Dean's Award for the Graduate School of Engineering. He was engaged in extensive research and development in the Matsuo Laboratory, University of Tokyo, including big data analysis, machine learning, and applied research on Deep Learning technology. While enrolling in a doctoral program at Matsuo Laboratory, he founded DeepX in 2016 with the desire to contribute to solving social issues by applying artificial intelligence technology. He is currently Representative Director and CEO.
Director, Chief Development Officer
Graduated from the Department of Systems Innovation, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo. He graduated from the Department of Technology Management for Innovation, the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo (received the Dean's Award for The Graduate School of Engineering). From his third year of undergraduate school, he focused on Deep Learning research at Matsuo Laboratory, and led many joint research projects with companies as a leader. After joining DeepX, he has been working on automation projects in the area where automation has been difficult to achieve, such as a hydraulic excavator autopilot project. He assumed Director and Chief Development Officer in June, 2019.
Director, Chief Technology Officer
He was engaged in high-performance computing research at the University of Tokyo. Subsequently, he studied Deep Learning technologies at the Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Tokyo, and contributed to academia by presenting theses on Deep Reinforcement Learning. He participated in DeepX's automation projects of large machinery while in the Graduate School and joined DeepX after graduation. Since he joined the company, he has been involved in multiple machine automation projects and has led the development of machina, a Deep Reinforcement Learning library that can be used cross-sectionally for the automation technology development of various machines. He assumed (Director), CTO in 2019.

In 2002, he completed his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering, the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. In 2005, he was a visiting research scholar at Stanford University. In 2007, he assumed Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. Currently, Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.
His prior experience includes sales at a leading trading house and vice secretary general of the labour union under the Corporate Rehabilitation Act. In addition, he was engaged in sales and marketing, six sigma, M&A and business alliances in GE's plastics, leasing and finance division. After participating in Industrial Growth Platform, Inc., he has controlled overall formulation and implementation of business strategies, business development, organisational personnel reform, etc..
